When you listen to the Akimbo podcast (and if you don’t you should), you’ll hear an advert. “Consider the AltMBA.” Seth Godin used the word “consider” a lot. It’s crept into my vocabulary too. And when a word worms it’s way in, I’ll check it’s entomology. (That’s a joke, on the word worm, even though worms aren’t insects).

The word “consider” comes from the Old French considerer (13c.) "reflect on, consider, study," from Latin considerare "to look at closely, observe," probably literally "to observe the stars," from assimilated form of com "with, together" + sidus "heavenly body, star, constellation".

So when you consider something, put it in the context of the stars. Will it help get you to Mars? Does it shine bright enough to be seen on a cloudy day?
